Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the My Psychiatrist website (mypsych.com) and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

Services

My Psychiatrist, LLC provides outpatient psychiatric and psychological services including but not limited to psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual therapy, Spravato (esketamine) treatment, TMS therapy, psychological testing, and telehealth services at our offices in Reston and Falls Church, Virginia, and through our E-Clinic telehealth platform.

Eligibility

Our services are available to individuals who are seeking mental health treatment. Certain services may have age or clinical requirements. Our providers will determine appropriate treatment during the intake and evaluation process. Patients under 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Patient Responsibilities

As a patient, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete medical and personal information
• Follow your treatment plan and communicate openly with your provider
• Attend scheduled appointments or provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations
• Inform your provider of all medications you are currently taking
• Contact emergency services (911 or 988) if you experience a psychiatric emergency

Appointments and Cancellations

Patients are expected to arrive on time for scheduled appointments. We require at least 24 hours advance notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments (no-shows) may be subject to a cancellation fee. Repeated no-shows may result in discharge from the practice. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Payment and Insurance

Copayments, coinsurance, and deductible amounts are due at the time of service. We accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CareFirst, Cigna, United Healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Magellan, Optum, and Humana. Patients are responsible for understanding their insurance benefits and any out-of-pocket costs. Self-pay options are available for patients without insurance coverage.

Telehealth Services

Telehealth services are conducted through Doxy.me, a HIPAA-compliant video platform. By using telehealth services, you acknowledge that while telehealth is effective for many conditions, it has limitations compared to in-person care. Your provider will determine if telehealth is appropriate for your clinical needs. You are responsible for ensuring a private, distraction-free environment during your telehealth session.

Prescription Medications

Medications prescribed by our providers are based on clinical evaluation and professional judgment. You agree to take medications only as prescribed and to report any side effects promptly. Refill requests require 48-72 hours processing time. Controlled substance prescriptions are subject to additional monitoring and regulations.

Emergency Situations

My Psychiatrist provides outpatient services only and is not an emergency facility. If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You may also contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by dialing 988.

Confidentiality

All patient information is kept strictly confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Virginia state law. For detailed information about how we protect your privacy, please review our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of My Psychiatrist, LLC and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use or reproduction of any content is prohibited without prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

My Psychiatrist, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our website or services, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This does not limit liability for medical malpractice or negligence as governed by Virginia law.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Fairfax County, Virginia.
